I had such a wonderful experience during the traveling classroom. Ingrid made all the arrangements, making it easy for us to focus and enjoy ourselves. With all of the included activities we were kept very busy. The other students were so kind, charming and fun to be around. The teachers were great. And Ingrid’s hostels were nice. What a great program! I highly recommend it.

This was an absolutely amazing trip. It was my first time travelling alone and I felt it was perfect because of how organised Ingrid has made it. My group was so lovely. Everything on the trip went smoothly as we moved from place to place. It is such a great idea because you have the opportunity to learn so much spanish (which I did), but also travel to several different places. The teachers are all great in every location. I loved my trip and would 100% do it again.

I had the most amazing time on this 4 week adventure. My primary goal was to be a stronger Spanish speaker, my secondary goal was to enjoy my vacation. My objectives were realized by touring with Traveling Spanish class room. I arrived back in my country as a more confident Spanish speaker with the ability to hear and comprehend what people were saying to me in Spanish. I had a lot of fun and saw various landscapes of Costa Rica and Panamá. I saw mountains, beaches, archipelagos, forest and cities. I even learned new cooking techniques and recipes. This was quite an enjoyable adventure. I would have stayed additional time but I had to return to reality. I can’t wait to do this again. Ingrid was wonderful with communication and she has curated a safe, educational and fun program. I truly felt as if I were on an adventure. We travelled during dry seasons with a diverse mix of people from various countries and differing Spanish levels. There were individuals who have never spoken Spanish before who left the program speaking Spanish and others who wanted to improve their skills. I want to go back ASAP

I had an amazing time on this trip! We were lucky to have Ingrid as our guide, and everyone else involved were super friendly and welcoming. The group itself was great, with a nice mix of ages and nationalities. Traveling went smooth, yet it still felt like a true journey. The places we visited were beautiful, with a perfect balance between busy and quieter spots, beaches, mountains, cities, and nature. Besides the organized activities, there was plenty of time to do your own thing (together or by yourself). Learning Spanish was fun even without any experience, though knowing a few basics beforehand definitely helps you get even more out of it. There’s truly something for everyone on this trip, and I’d 100% recommend it to anyone!

We had a great trip with the travelling classroom! Everything was so well organised, we really loved the places we have been and Ingrid Lommers was the best guide and Spanish teacher. Also the other teachers were good and relaxed. The classes outside in Boquete were the best. The hostels were different but all good. We are very enthousiastic about this combination of travelling and learning. Thanks to all!

First of all, I want to say, that I really enjoyed my time in the Traveling Classroom (TC).
In my round of the TC, we were a relatively small group of three people embarking on this adventure together.
We did not have a teacher who accompanied us throughout the whole journey, but thanks to the good organization of Ingrid and her team, as well as our small group size, it was easy-going to change locations, etc.. In every city, we gained new insights into the culture and of course the language.
I appreciate the different teaching styles of every teacher I met along the way, and I think my Spanish-skills increased a lot over this time.
The unique structure of the TC, one location per week, a major activity in every city (e.g. San Blas trip or ziplining in Boquete), accompanied from smaller events (e.g. city tours, dancing and cooking classes), provides a structured framework, while leaving time for personal activities/plans.
And while not everything can be perfect, and some things (like the weather, roadblocks, ...) are out of our control, I have to say:
This was one of the best experiences of my life. :)

The exprience of travelling and learning spanish at the same time was amazing. Everything was really good organised. I met on this journey amazing people. At first it was a bit weard that we were only three people in the travelling classroom but then we bounded and this was nice. The teachers were mediocre to really good. But we had always the chance to talk to Ingrid and then she spoke with the teachers so that they can improve. We met Ingrid the last week of our program and it was great to meet her. Also the activities were so much fun, especially the River Rafting.

Viajar y aprender un idioma al mismo tiempo. Todo estuvo muy bien organizado. Si algo no salía como estaba previsto, Ingrid encontraba una solución rápidamente. Siempre tenía consejos sobre qué hacer en cada lugar y conocía a alguien para todo. Incluso cuando hablábamos de otros planes, ella siempre sabía cómo ayudarnos.

Los profesores fueron increíbles, igual que los compañeros de clases de cocina y baile. Todos fueron muy amables y profesionales. El programa fue muy variado y divertido. ¡Admiro mucho todo lo que Ingrid organiza y ha construido aquí!

Parece un cliché, pero este viaje ha cambiado mi vida. Siempre lo recordaré. Me ha dado aún más ganas de descubrir otras culturas en América Central y mejorar mi español.
